The long-awaited moment has to come to an end when the new home of the Nokia brand has unveiled 5 new phones and at the top of that list is the gorgeous new flagship Android phone with a 2K screen and a Zeiss-branded dual camera setup that combines a regular shooter with a telephoto lens. And with this all there is an expectation that it will get better results in the first quarter.
The unimaginable work of using a single piece of steel which is more durable and stronger than aluminium has added a brilliant feature to this phone. The 3D Gorilla Glass 5 present on both sides of the device gives the Nokia 8 Sirocco a premium curved appearance. The new Nokia 8 Sirocco has a 5.5” Quad HD pOLED screen curved on both edges. Nokia says that every 8 Sirocco unit is made out of a single block of stainless steel, which contributes to the phone’s structural integrity. Thus even with its strength, it is just 7.5mm at its thickest point. And it comes with an IP67 rating. There are also loads more here to like, with the spec including support for wireless charging, IP67 waterproofing, a rear fingerprint scanner.
Talking about the hardware, it is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM, a 3260 mAh battery and 128GB of internal storage. On the back of the Nokia 8 Sirocco, there’s a dual-cam setup that features a 12MP wide-angle primary camera, paired with a 13MP telephoto shooter capable of delivering 2 times optical magnification. Up front, there’s a 5MP selfie shooter. For connectivity, the Nokia 8 Sirocco has a USB-C port, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band WiFi. It will be immediately familiar to people who’ve used Lumia phones, as it features the same arc-based user interface for controlling various settings, such as white balance, ISO, and shutter speed. The Nokia 8 Sirocco will be available from early April, starting at €749 excluding taxes.
